The Michigan Man

The Michigan Man was a hip-hop rapper from the '90s. Not much information is given about him, but he was signed to Life Records.

In 1993, he released the single "Everybody Laugh, Huh, Huh, Huh, Huh" which didn't appear to make the Billboard charts at all.

After that, it seems as if the Michigan Man has faded into obscurity. Nothing much has been heard from him since.

3 Grand

3 Grand was a hip-hop/rap trio from the '90s. Not much information is given about them, but they were first signed to MCA Records.
In 1991, the trio released their debut album "3 The Hard Way." It's unknown how or if the album made the charts at all.
The only single from the album to chart was "Girls" which managed to peak at #93 on Billboard's Hot R&B Singles chart, staying on the chart for only 3 weeks.
In 1993, 3 Grand released their sophomore album "3 Bad Brothers" on 3 Bad Records. The album didn't appear to make the Billboard charts at all.
The singles "Daisy Dukes!" and "Buck Wild" failed to make the charts at all. After that, it seems as if 3 Grand faded into obscurity. Nothing much has been heard from them since the '90s.

Rick & Rich

Rick (born Rick Rodgers) & Rich (born Rich Harris) were a short-lived hip-hop/R&B duo from the early 90s. Not much information is given about them, but they were signed to Chrysalis Records.

In 1991, they released their only single "Pump (Let's Go)" which managed to peak at #82 on Billboard's Hot R&B Singles chart, staying on the chart for only 4 weeks.

After that, it seemed as if Rick & Rich faded into obscurity. Nothing much has been heard from them since.

Southsyde B.O.I.Z.


The Southsyde B.O.I.Z. were a hip-hop/rap music duo from the '90s. Not much information is given about them, but  B.O.I.Z. stood for Beats Originated In the 'Zon (meaning Arizona).

In 1996, the duo released the single "Get Ready, Here It Comes (It's the Choo Choo)" which peaked at #96 on the Billboard Hot 100, #10 on Billboard's Hot Rap Singles, #43 on Billboard's Hot Dance Music/Maxi-Singles Sales chart and #62 on Billboard's Hot R&B Singles chart, staying on the chart for 14 weeks.

After that, nothing much was heard from the Southsyde B.O.I.Z. and they appear to have faded into obscurity.

Sesh

Sesh (short for Strength Enforcing Serious Harm from the Bronx, New York) was a hip-hop/rap trio that consisted of Sigga, Lamp and Sgt. Ore.
In 1996, they released the single "Definition: Sesh" on their own record label Sesh Records. It's unknown how or if the single made the charts.

Despite that, the single gained the trio some recognition and they performed at venues such as the B-Boy Summit in San Diego, California, Hoodstock in Miami, Florida and the annual Rock Steady Anniversary in New York City. They even traveled to Europe to get fans overseas.

In 1998, Sesh released their only album "4535" on J-Bird Records. It's unknown how or if the album made the charts at all.

After that, it seems as if Sesh has faded into obscurity. Nothing much has been heard from the trio since.

Young Bennie Valentino

Young Bennie Valentino was a male hip-hop rapper from the '80s. Not much information is given about him, but he was signed to Saturn Records.

Ceiliia

Ceiliia (from Manchester, England) was a female hip-hop rapper from the '80s. Not much information is given about her, but she was signed to Saturn Records.

In 1985, she released her only single "Nissan (Truckin')." It's unknown how or if the single made the charts at all.

2 Fly

2 Fly was a hip-hop duo from the late '80s. Not much information is given about them, but they were signed to the Outpost Entertainment Company record label.

In 1989, they released their only single "Sex." It's unknown how or if the single made the charts at all.

After that, it seemed as if 2 Fly flied away into obscurity. Their whereabouts are unknown.

Big Lady K

Big Lady K (born Rosa Lee Chambers in Riverside, California) was a female hip-hop rapper from the late '80s/early '90s.

She got her start in the music business through hip-hop promoter Cliff Richey Jr. who helped her get her name heard around town through booking shows, promotions and other various events.

At the time, Big Lady K was attending La Sierra High School in Riverdale along with future hip-hop artist Robert "ODM" Gutierrez.

While attending high school, she introduced Robert to Cliff who teamed him up with two other local hip-hop artists who later formed music group Lighter Shade of Brown.
Big Lady K's exposure landed her a record deal with Priority Records in 1988. During that same year, she released her debut single "Don't Get Me Started."
In 1989, Big Lady K released her second single "Ffun" which managed to peak at #85 on Billboard's Hot Black Singles chart, staying on the chart for only 5 weeks.
A year later, she released her only album "Bigger Than Life." It's unknown how or if it charted, but it received moderate reviews.
Big Lady K's third single "Smiling Faces" didn't make any impact on the charts and after that, it seems as if she has faded into obscurity. Her whereabouts are unknown.

Apache

Apache (born Anthony Peaks on December 26, 1964 in Jersey City, New Jersey) was a hip-hop rapper from the '90s.

He started his career in the late '80s as a frontman for hip-hop group The Flavor Unit. He was also featured on albums by artists such as 2Pac, Fat Joe  and Naughty By Nature. Apache later signed to Tommy Boy Records.
In 1992, Apache released his only album "Apache Ain't Shit" which managed to chart at #66 on the Billboard 200 and #15 on Billboard's R&B Albums chart.
His only hit was the single "Gangsta Bitch" which peaked at #67 on the Billboard Hot 100, #11 on Billboard's Hot Rap Singles, #4 on Billboard's Hot Dance Music/Maxi-Singles Sales chart and #49 on Billboard's Hot R&B Singles chart, staying on the chart for 20 weeks.
The follow-up single "Do Fa Self" failed to make the charts at all. After that, Apache continued to make appearances on various artists' albums & singles along with songwriting as well.

Sadly on January 22, 2010, Apache passed away from undisclosed causes in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania at the age of 45.

Blak Panta

Blak Panta (born in Jamaica) was a male reggae/hip-hop singer from the mid-'90s. Not much information is given about him, but he was signed to Tommy Boy Records.

In 1995, he was featured on the movie soundtrack to "New Jersey Drive" with the song "Do What U Want" which peaked at #109 on Billboard's Bubbling Under Hot 100 Singles chart and #78 on Billboard's Hot R&B Singles chart, staying on the chart for 8 weeks.

After that, it seems as if Blak Panta has faded into obscurity. Nothing much has been heard from him since.

Home Team

Home Team was a hip-hop/rap duo from the '90s that consisted of brothers Debonaire and Drugzie. Debonaire was a member of rap group Poison Clan.
In 1992, the duo released their debut album "Via Satellite from Saturn" on Luke Records. The album peaked at #50 on Billboard's R&B Albums chart.
The first single "Pick it Up" peaked at #90 on the Billboard Hot 100, #8 on Billboard's Hot Rap Singles chart, #36 on Billboard's Hot Dance Music/Maxi-Singles Sales chart and #41 on Billboard's Hot R&B Singles chart, staying on the chart for 19 weeks.
The follow-up single "Back to the Bronx" was released, but didn't make the Billboard charts at all. In 1993, they were feature on Luke's holiday single "Christmas At Luke's Sex Shop."
In 1994, Home Team released their last album "Malignant Graffiti" which flopped, failing to make the charts at all.

After that, it seems as if Home Team has faded into obscurity. Nothing much has been heard from them since.

The Movies were a New York hip-hop/R&B band from the 80s. Not much information is given about them, but they were signed to Blue Chip City Records.
In 1985, the band released their debut single "Future Girl." It's unknown how or if the single made the charts.
A year later, they released the single "Juke Box" which peaked at #88 on Billboard's Hot Black Singles chart, staying on the chart for 5 weeks.
In 1987, the Movies released their late single to date "She Gave Me That Itch/The Love in You" on the Macola Record Co. label.

After that, it seems as if the Movies have faded into obscurity. Nothing much has been heard from them since.

Silk Tymes Leather

Silk Tymes Leather was a hip-hop/rap trio from Atlanta, Georgia that consisted of Vicki "Silk" Jordan, Dyonna "Diamond X" Lewis and Jocelyn "Leather" Rabon. They were produced by Jermaine Dupri.
In 1989, the trio released their debut single "Do Your Dance (Work It Out)." It's unknown how or if the single ever made the charts.
In 1990, Silk Tymes Leather released their only album "It Ain't Where Ya From, It's Where Ya At" which peaked at #73 on Billboard's R&B Albums chart.
The trio's second single "New Jack Thang" peaked at #90 on Billboard's Hot Black Singles chart, staying on the chart for only 2 weeks.
The third single "The Woman in Me" peaked at #16 on Billboard's Hot Rap Singles chart. After that, it seems as if the trio has faded into obscurity. Nothing much has been heard from them since the 90s.

Nini X

Nini X (born Rajni Faulks on July 21, 1970 in Steubenville, Ohio) was a female rapper from the 90s. She later moved to Los Angeles in Compton.

In 1993, she was introduced to Ronnie Ron by Tweedy Bird Loc. At the time, Nini was struggling, so Ronnie Ron helped her out.

At first, he did not want her to be on the song "Bangin' on Wax," but Nini insisted and gave herself the name "Bloody Mary."

Nini made her debut on the single "Piru Love" along with rappers Lil' Stretch, Redrum 781 and "CK." She also appeared in the music video for the song.
In 1994, Nini released her debut album "She's Dangerous" under the name "Nini X." The album failed to make the Billboard album charts at all.

She later left Dangerous Records and stopped working with Ronnie Ron due to financial issues.

Due to the joint ventures with Quality Records and money that was being handled by Warlock Records, Nini X ended in bad terms with Ronnie Ron.

She was featured on most of the first "Bangin' On Wax" album.
In 2002, Nini released her sophomore album "Day Of Resurrection" under the name "Bloody Mary." It's unknown how or if the album ever made the charts at all.

She was even signed to Death Row Records. Nini was featured on Tweedy Bird Loc's work and also appeared on Assassin's "Hitworks Vol. 1" album under the name "Nina Ross/Bloody Mary."

On November 19, 2006, Nini was riding her motorbike in Compton & she unintentionally became involved in another person's high-speed chase.

Nini's bike was hit by an Escalade trying to outrun the police. She was put on life support and sadly succumbed to her injuries on November 21, 2006. She was only 36 years old.

Lil Soldiers

Lil Soldiers were a short-lived hip-hop/rap duo from Asbury Park, New Jersey that consisted of siblings Ikeim and Freequon.

The duo was signed to Master P's No Limit Records record label. They made their first appearance on No Limit labelmate Steady Mobb'n's 1998 album "Black Mafia" on the track "Lil' Niggas."
In 1999, Lil Soldiers released their only album "Boot Camp" which peaked at #80 on the Billboard 200 and #22 on Billboard's R&B Albums chart.

The boys were 9 and 7 years old respectively when the album was released. "Boot Camp" featured minimal explicit content and didn't receive a Parental Advisory logo.
The album wasn't commercially successful and the singles released from the album "Close 2 You" and "Where Da Lil Soldiers At?" failed to make the charts at all.

After the release of their one and only album, Lil Soldiers were dropped from their record label and faded into obscurity. Two years later, No Limit Records gained better success with then-child rapper Lil' Romeo.

These days, Freequon (now Ockey Bama) continues to make music, but it's unknown what his brother is up to.

K-Yze

K-Yze (born Kevin Davis) was a hip-house/dance musician from the late 80s/early 90s. Not much information is given about him, but he was signed to Warner Bros. Records.
In 1989, K-Yze released his first single, "Stomp (Move Jump Jack Your Body)" peaked at #12 on Billboard's Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart and #30 on Billboard's Hot Dance Music/Maxi-Singles Sales chart.
In 1992, he released his debut and only album to date, "Without Warning." It's unknown how or if the album charted.
The only single to chart from the album was "Sweat Dance" which peaked at #4 on Billboard's Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart and #12 on Billboard's Hot Dance Music/Maxi-Singles Sales chart.

After that, it seems as if K-Yze has faded into obscurity. Nothing much has been heard from him since.
