The Movies

The Movies were a New York hip-hop/R&B band from the 80s. Not much information is given about them, but they were signed to Blue Chip City Records.
In 1985, the band released their debut single "Future Girl." It's unknown how or if the single made the charts.
A year later, they released the single "Juke Box" which peaked at #88 on Billboard's Hot Black Singles chart, staying on the chart for 5 weeks.
In 1987, the Movies released their late single to date "She Gave Me That Itch/The Love in You" on the Macola Record Co. label.

After that, it seems as if the Movies have faded into obscurity. Nothing much has been heard from them since.
