Geri Logan

Geri Logan (born Geraldine Juanita Gonzalez from South Central Los Angeles, California) is a female R&B/pop singer from the '80s.

During the 70s, she performed in a few bands and in the early 80s, she met music producer Hadley Morell who was able to get he a recording contract with MCA Records.
In 1982, Geri released her one and only album entitled "Come and Get It." The album didn't appear to chart on the Billboard charts at all.

The album consisted mostly of R&B songs and according to Geri, the label thought she was a good R&B singer, but she didn't sound "black enough" nor "white enough." (Go figure.) After that, she left MCA Records

During the late '90s, Geri had several music releases on the independent record label, Our Town Records. During that time, she had changed the spelling of her first name to "Geree." In 1995, she released the album "Reflections of Love."
In 1997, Geree released her self-titled 4-song EP on R-Town Records. It's unknown how or if the EP was successful.
In 1999, she released her second album, "Through These Eyes." Later on, Geree focused on Christian music and singing in church.

In the early 2000s, Geree was in a band called Smooth and later in a band called Geree and the Groove. These days, it appears that she is still active as a singer.

Hi everyone
I saw Geri sing with "Poverty Train" at the "Garage" (I believe) in the L.A. area around 1968-1970. She was also with the "Village Callers" and "That Happy Few". Great bands and an excellent vocalist. I met her while attending E.L.A.C in Monterey Park, CA. I remember her as very talented, beautiful and had that "Star" quality. has an extensive article and recorded live interview with Geri under MY Chicano & E.L.A Music Articles #22.
All the best to Gerri and her fans!
