7 Mile

7 Mile were an R&B group from Detroit, Michigan that consisted of Luther "Squeaky" Jackson, Glynis "Lil G" Martin, Seantezz "Tezz" Robinson and Deion "D" Lucas. They were signed to Mariah Carey's short-lived Crave Records label.
In 1998, the group released their only album which peaked at #64 on Billboard's R&B Albums chart and #43 on Billboard's Heatseekers Albums chart.
The first single "Just a Memory" peaked at #106 on Billboard's Bubbling Under Hot 100 Singles chart and #45 on Billboard's Hot R&B Singles chart, staying on the chart for 20 weeks.
The follow-up single "Do Your Thing" managed to peak at #50 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #45 on Billboard's Hot R&B Singles chart, staying on the chart for 20 weeks.

After Crave Records folded, it seemed as if 7 Mile faded into obscurity.

These days, Glynis Martin works at JP Entertainment/Nitram Recordz in Japan as the CEO and head artist development. Seantezz Robinson still resides in Detroit. Deion Lucas and Luther Jackson are each pursuing solo music careers.
