Fascination (born Elsie Rodriguez in the Bronx, New York) was a freestyle musician from the '80s and '90s.

She was discovered by music producer Todd Terry in New York City. She has also studied drama, dance and music.
In 1987, Fascination released her first single "Why You Wanna Go" on Vinylmania Records which peaked at #35 on Billboard's Hot Dance Music\Maxi-Singles Sales chart.
Her next single "Don't You Think It's Time" became another dance hit. After her two successful singles, Fascination was signed to Cutting Records.
In 1990, Fascination released the single "Remember" peaked at #27 on Billboard's Hot Dance Music\Maxi Singles Sales chart & gave the singer a major endorsement deal with Coca-Cola.
Fascination released a few more singles such as "I Want You Back," "Still Miss You," and "Wasn't Love."

She was currently working on a new album, but nothing has been heard about it in quite a long time.  Despite this, Fascination appears to still perform live (like at the Freestyle Blast concert in 2009).

Just saw her in Summerstage on Staten Island. She has definitely seen better days; her voice has degraded, and singing over her own pre-recorded tracks (with her younger voice) hasn't done her any favors
