Connie

Connie (born Consuelo Piriz on July 30, 1964 in Miami, Florida) is a female freestyle\dance singer. During her college years, she became close friends with K.C. and the Sunshine Band, who introduced her to her mentor, Henry Stone.  
In 1986, Connie signed to Sunnyview Records and released her self-titled debut album, which didn't appear to make the Billboard album charts.  
Connie's first single, "Funky Little Beat" peaked at #44 on Billboard's Hot Dance Music\Maxi-Singles Sales chart and #41 on Billboard's Hot Black Singles chart in February of 1986, staying on the chart for 17 weeks.  
The follow-up single, "Experience" peaked at #15 on Billboard's Hot Dance Music\Club Play chart in July of 1986 and #50 on Billboard's Hot Black Singles chart in June of 1986, staying on the chart for 9 weeks.

Connie has toured around the globe with musicians such as Evelyn "Champagne" King, Morris Day, and Kool & the Gang.
In the early 90's, she took a break from the music business to get married. Before the birth of her daughter in 1996, Connie released her second album, "No Tears" on Black Olive Records.
In 2002, Thump Records released the compliation album, "The Best of Connie" which featured cover versions of Debbie Deb's songs "Lookout Weekend" and "When I Hear Music" & Trinere's song, "How Can We Be Wrong."
In 2006, Connie released the album, "Let's Party" on TriWorld Records. It's unknown how or if the album was successful.
During that same year, Connie's second compliation album, "The Best Of (Funky Little Beat)" which is available on Amazon.com.

These days, Connie resides in South Florida with her husband, daughter, and dog. She continues to perform in public & private concerts throughout the United States and abroad.
