When she was 15 years old, she worked as a background singer for her mom. After attending college in Atlanta, Keisha and her friend started a girl group together & played in the clubs in Atlanta.
In 1989, she released her self-titled debut album on CBS Records. It's unknown how or if the album charted at all.
After that, Keisha worked with LaFace Records as a background singer and worked on tracks by artists such as Toni Braxton, Bobby Brown, and Whitney Houston. She was involved in a plan with Warner Bros. Records to make a music group called Black Coffy, but unfortunately, those plans never materialized.
These days, Keisha continues to record and perform music. She has started her own agency called One Voice Entertainment and often performs as a backup singer with Erykah Badu's band.
